This refers to modelling of all major architectural and aesthetic components like walls, floors, ceilings, doors, windows, roofs etc. Not only can architectural 3D models be used to validate proposed concepts and visualize designs but the same models can also be used as decision making tools during the construction phase as well.

Interior modelling is important at the planning stage of projects as it is crucial to plan the locations of all the MEP components. If all the interior details including furniture and other aesthetic models are modelled according to the exact dimensions and appearance, it gives a more detailed visual appeal to the model and also provides better idea of the space constraints related to the project. Also, the study of interaction of the interior components with the structural and architectural components is important to be virtually executed and any possible coordination issues should be dealt with before procurement of expensive interior items.

The landscape level BIM Models incorporate terrain, topography and other landscape components like ponds, trees, existing natural elements etc. An accurate 3D Model of the landscape can be associated with the available site survey data. A digital database of important landscape features like trees, shrubs, ponds etc. can be used for getting centralized information about the large array of elements included in the drawings and existing terrain.

The model can be useful for spatial coordination of services and progressively for other important deliverable like accurate quantity estimation and 4D simulations.
