During this phase, comprehensive and precise working drawings are created for tendering and construction. These documents ensure the client’s vision is accurately captured, and construction plans include fully annotated construction plans, detailed sections, interior details, joinery details, and accompanying schedules and specifications. These documents support accurate estimation of construction costs and help inform contractors and subcontractors to provide precise instructions for construction.

In this step of the process, the approved schematic concepts are further developed into more elaborate drawings, which is referred to as ‘DD.’ This step covers developed floor plans, key building sections, detailed material specifications, as well as precise elevations and coordinating drawings of the building’s MEP systems. These documents are critical to design decisions, support approvals from regulatory bodies, and detailed engineering estimation.

The shop drawings are generated using 3D BIM Models and hence are consistent with no scope of manual errors. If there are any updates to the model, the plans, sections, details and schedules all update in real time, ensuring correct data in every construction document.
