BIM Execution Planning Solutions

Our team has over a decade of experience in delivering state-of-the-art projects across the globe. We pay undivided attention to BIM Execution planning since it is the most crucial aspect of BIM implementation and also a very important part within the project lifecycle.

What is a BIM Execution Plan

BIM Execution Plan (BEP) is a project-specific document used as a helping guide to define and set workflows for all BIM-related work. BIM-related work of Architecture, Structural, Interiors, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Facades, etc. of a project is covered in the BEP. All the stakeholders responsible for developing, coordinating, consulting, and maintaining the model are defined in this document.

Contents of a typical BEP

A BIM Execution Plan (BEP) contains the necessary details of the project along with the scope of work. BEP defines the roles and responsibilities of all the stakeholders involved in the project. A BEP states software and hardware requirements, details of Cloud Data Environment, workflows, reviewing and approvals process, Model standards, Clash detection process, and QA/QC process. A BEP has a detailed list of BIM Models to define the scope of work. The whole procedure is broken down into multiple tasks or activities under function-specific sections. These tasks are scheduled in a tabular form with a planned duration allotted to execute the task with float value (permissible delay) assigned to it. The estimated start date and finish date are assigned to each task, with the latest start date and latest finish date considering the floats. The milestones set by mutual agreement between different stakeholders are also marked in the schedule.

Direct use of BIM to better traditional construction practices

Understand Client Requirements & create BIM Execution Plans

With our clients’ inputs, we get an idea of their human resources, stakeholders involved in the project, the scope of their work, the budget allocated, and the hardware and software available to understand their requirements. BEP (BIM Execution Plans) are prepared by keeping these requirements as a reference. We ensure that all the aspects of the project are covered in our BEP and our Support team assists you throughout the implementation and monitoring span.

Hands-on troubleshooting approach
